KIbitz Room

There was a late night reunion for The Dirty Suits at Canter's Kibitz room last night/ this morning.  We played a pretty short set, maybe 7 or so songs to bring in the Lunar Eclipse.  This is the time of year for new beginnings, and we are excited about new songs and the fact that the beach is warm enough to swim in without a wetsuit.  There will be sports, good times, and most of all music, sweet music to be made this summer.  Join in the great party with us.
Next Friday we will be doing a very short set at The Talking Stick in Venice, to warm up for the show at the Viper Room the following Tuesday, 7/6.  Hope to see you all there in your suits.

Dirty Suits record 'astro motel,' at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica.

Crazy how you can write a song and then a decade later bring it to your band who breathe life into it. Jaime added his production touches and great rhythm guitar and backup vocals, Chris had his magnificent succulent leads and Elisa powerhouses us through with her soulful machine steady grooves.
Kathleen Wirt, the owner of the studio, was extremely helpful in working with our budget needs and providing a comfortable space in which to work. We definitely will be using the studio again. I forsee it being our 'home away from home' in the future and strongly recommend it to other musicians out there.
Our engineer Chris was a genius, extremely knowledgeable, cordial, and helpful in getting a sound that fit our vision of the song. The studio interns were extremely helpful, thanks to Joe, Angel, and Ryan for their expertise, professionalism, and friendly personalities. We can't wait to come back and record more.

The Dirty Suits get called into duty

I Played solo tonight @ o'briens Irish pub to promote for the dirty suits this Thursday night for my 26th birthday show....  & it was amazing!  i played to like, maybe 5 people in the back room and mid set had everyone in the room shouting and clapping in sink to my acoustic guitar and voice, it felt like 500 people... had everyone singing along to "What She Said" and of course "Ring of Fire"!  Plus i met some bad ass marines off duty who i think are Dirty Suit fanz for life now and also a really cool Cali gal who said she  was born over sea's and irish.  A really fun night ether way, and one hell of a great show!  I can not wait for The Dirty Suits  "call of duty tour" for all our brothers and sister serving our great nation.
