Hello Echo has a new album.

Hello Echo, who the Dirty Suits have been playing shows with the last couple years, have a new self titled album. Produced by Jaime Sol Black's brother Jeremy, it's really awesome. They started out with an impromptu gig in Baja Mexico about 5 years ago and now have a very solid body of work. The entire album flows seamlessly through all of the emotions of the human psyche and leaves you ready to replay it again at the end. I'm extremely proud, though not surprised that these guys have created such a masterpiece. Hurry up and get it:

IMPROMPTU

Me and Jaime were super stoked to try out 3 new songs today with Elisa.
She gives such a huge lift to our playing. Our spirits fly with her beats, summoning
the songs to come alive. We left rehearsal to go play late night paddle tennis
and then played a short set at the Basement after an interesting band called
'Blue Eyed Son.' Looking forward to the show @ Trip Bar on
Thursday.

(HUMBLE)

© 2010 The Dirty Suits
Words by Jaime Sol Black
Music by The Dirty Suits

A true blue dame
I trust yea humble
Don’t run your mind away
With sorrow

My world is a safe haven
I trust the ones who love
Give your self, motivation
She knows my role, in this world
I Know this dames goal

I know an angel,
she trust yea humble
Taught me, what I never knew
Gave me a clue
When you can trust
You can Love

I walk through the gates of Zion
My true love is under my arm
Keeping my sprit alive
My heart is a beating
As she, makes my evil subside
As she, rides me into the sun

Keep your eyes, wide open
And watch your, thoughts
Know who your, talking to
And Always keep your, love with you

Hey little darling
We got a humble trust
Hey little darling
We got a humble love
Hey little darling
We got a humble trust
Hey little darling
We got a humble love
Keeping your heart a beating

A true collaboration about "Easy Love"

Jaime Sol Black and Jeremy Ferrick, collaborated on this tune during a late night Dirty Suits rehearsal. Their hope was to bring back the free love sprite of 1969! When times were simpler and animal magnetism was in the air........

Easy Love
Where do you hide out
By the train tracks
Rainin’ on me like a cinnamon cloud
What happened to free love, 1969
Why?
do you make me have to wine and dine?

I know you want
What I want
When I want it
You know you need it

Its so easy yea yea

I know you what
What I want
When I want it
You know you need it
Its easy yea yea

Do you remember the theater
On Seward street I believe it was called ‘unknown.’
You pulled me over and kissed me and kissed me
Before I new it. my mind was blown.
I need it every night and honey every morning
It’s the way my heart stays alive-
Some people they like eating
Some people they like hunting
don’t you know I was made to love love love
Love love love love love
Love love love love love

Do you remember Baltimore, giving me head
On Eger Allan Poe’s grave
You were the raven and the maven missbehavin’ is what im craving
In the moon light

Do you remember, Karaoke @ the gas light
I sang your favorite song
You sang van halen, jumped up on the bar
Pulled me close and made me
Feel like a star

I know you want
What I want
When I want it
You know you need it

Its so easy yea yea

I know you what
What I want
When I want it
You know you need it
Its so easy yea yea

I know you want
What I want
When I want it
You know you need it

Its so easy yea yea

I know you what
What I want
When I want it
You know you need it
Its so easy yea yea

Took me by surprise when you took me in
And gave me a new home
You were my best friend
And that will never die
Keeping a close watch over you
Don’t you ever cry

Black is the color of heaven
Heaven is the color of me
Unconditionally and love

Don’t you worry love
You still have your friends
I may be gone
still singing our song
ever lasting love
and I’ll be watching you
from the sky’s above

Black is the color of heaven
Heaven is the color of me
Unconditionally and love

You gave me a new life
I gave you a new piece of you

new piece of You
new piece of You
new piece of You

Black and white spot
Will protect you my friend
Brown eyed rebel
In a autumn afternoon

And I

Woke up, its 3 am
In my apartment,
Rue Edouard Manet
The rest of the world is a sleep
And sweets dripping off of me
Like a bad bad dream
Visions of you on a Sunday afternoon
Hunting me, like a ghost
Searching for revenge
Searching for revenge

Your with a new guy
I am just a tail to tell
Hello Goodbye
it true, are we are really through
I still love you

Now I’m up
Before the sun
New day rising
Let us live it like we’re dieing
We’re have you gone
Are you having fun
Suns coming up
Got to run out the door
Can’t be weak
Tuff it up
I said tuff it up
Whoooh tuff it up

I hope you got your beauty sleep

Baby oh baby oh baby yea baby
Why’d you go, don’t you need me
Cause I’m telling no lie
That I need you
If I am gone tomorrow
Would you mourn just a friend
Or your one and only love

Tuff it up
I said tuff it up
Whoooh tuff it up

I hope you got your beauty sleep

"I only want the best (for you)"

words by Jeremy Lazar Ferrick
Music by The Dirty Suits

She flew
away, like ill gotten gain.
She stayed around
till there was pain.
People like to take it easy
no one wants to hang it tough
But when the going gets going
Enough is enough.

chorus
i've been down so long
that it don't even matter any more 2X

Took me a long time to learn this lesson well
You don't have to keep everything that comes
Don't have to live in hell
sometimes it's easier to stay put
then to move along
Sometimes it's safer
to be wrong.

Chorus

You can take the high road
or settle
for what's left
& Thank them
for all of
the crumbs they threw
I only want the best
for you

Chorus
What are you waiting for? When there's nothing left lose.
Don't you know it's up to you, all these decisions that you choose.

The Dirty Suits in the words of John Calderwood:

"Out of desperation and chance, two creative forces came  to create some of the most soulfull and rocking tunes the masses of this divided city have ever heard- scavaging together the best grouping of threads they could, they took  Los angeles by storm.
With nothing more than some hand me down instruments and a knack for style, the bastard child of Johnny Cash and the Beatles was born. They ain't pretty, and they sure don't belong.
but the stains on their suits scream of tried and true rock and roll-
ladies and gentlemen, these are the Dirty Suits.
The name, well it speaks for itself."

The Dirty Suits Get LUCKY.

What do you mean?  You say. How are the Dirty Suits getting lucky?  I don't know. Impromptu late night radio jams. New spunky people helping get our songs out there, like our  Manager Jill Fleischman.  New songs coming out of the air.  Recordings of songs that appear radio ready and ready for shrink wrap and CD cases. Oh did I mention our new single 'astro motel' is now on itunes, amazon, and a lot of other music sites?
We had a nice set at the Good Hurt Friday night.  Steven Martini, Terence Leclere, and Christopher Motyka, our friends from the bands Spaceship Martini and Ric Veda, showed up. So did Kathleen Wirt and Chris Mullings from 4th St. Studio.  Oh, make sure to call Kroq on Sunday nights and ask them to play 'astro' for the locals only show.
